New Beginnings

This collection of 7 alla prima paintings captures the arrival of Spring, and life awakening after the winter months. The intention was to capture the innocence and calm of the new season, paired with the energy of new life. The animals subjects, pastel colour palette and warm hues capture this innocence and feeling of a new beginning, whilst the expressive application of brush strokes delivers the fresh energy to the viewer. 

The creation of this collection made me feel very at ease and ready to welcome the new with open arms. I hope they provide a similar feeling for you :)
